Diane McDougall
McDougall, Diane Lynn (Donald) March 28, 1948 - March 14, 2017 “Be not afraid. In Christ, there is light, love and beyond the grave, come with me and I will give you rest.” - unknown

With family at her side, quietly and peacefully on the morning of March 14, 2017 at Louise Marshall Hospital the life of a truly remarkable woman was placed into the hands of our Lord.  Diane was the ever-loving and beloved wife of Ernie for 48 years and devoted mother to her 3 children; Jeffrey McDougall (Jennifer), Juliann Ellis (Karl) both of Mount Forest and Rhonda Koehler (Andre) of Cambridge.  Diane was loved and cherished by her 6 grandchildren; Madalyn & Hanna Ellis, Gavin & Rebekah McDougall and Darren & Colin Koehler.  Diane is survived by her brother Jim Donald (Lois), sisters Marie Leibold (Barry), Kate Ross (Jean Pierre) Leblanc, sister-in-law Debbie Donald.

Beloved niece of Eleanor Keith, Nancy Donald and Marg Donald and her many adored nieces & nephews and great nieces & nephews.

Diane was predeceased by her parents, Elwood and Lillian Donald, brother Ken Donald, In-laws Arthur & Marjorie McDougall, brother-in-law Neil McDougall and uncles Eldon Keith and Ralph Donald.

Diane was born and raised in Mount Forest where she lived most of her life.  She spent a short time in Kitchener before marrying Ernie in 1968.  She worked at the TD Canada Trust bank for 38 years and enjoyed seeing and serving many from the community.  Diane enjoyed putzing around in her flower beds, going for walks with her dog and relaxing on the front porch on summer evenings.  Never missing a chance for a drive, she could often be found most days driving with Ernie and their dog "Pepper".   Diane was cared for the last number of years by the dedicated and caring staff at Saugeen Valley Nursing Centre.

We will miss her warm heart, her loving smile, her joyous laugh and her encouraging and positive words of wisdom spoken from her heart.

Diane’s family will receive friends at the England Funeral Home, Mount Forest on Monday March 20th from 6-9 pm.  A celebration of life will be held at Mount Forest Pentecostal Church, Mount Forest on Tuesday March 21, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. with visitation prior to the service from 12- 12:45 p.m.

Donations in Diane’s memory may be made to the Louise Marshall Hospital, Alzheimer’s Society or a charity of your choice.
