Julie Leibold
LEIBOLD, Julie – Suddenly and unexpectedly at her residence in Ayton on Wednesday, April 14th, 2021 in her 57th year.  Cherished partner of Robert Raymond for almost 20 years.  Loving stepmother of Meredith Pleau and “JuJu” to Meredith’s children: Hope and Xavier. Julie is also survived by her Uncle and Aunt, Ronald and Jean Leibold of Guelph, and will be sadly missed by her many cousins and friends. Julie was predeceased by her loving parents, Ross (2009) and Ruth Leibold (née Huth) (2020). Julie lovingly tended to her mother until Ruth’s passing this past October. Upon graduation from the Cosmetic Program at Seneca College, Julie joined Eaton’s Canada in Kitchener. She then joined the Clinique team at The Bay in Conestoga Mall, Waterloo. Her devotion to her career and clients was truly a gift. Julie’s life centred around Leibold Farms, located outside of Ayton, where she was the fifth generation to continue on the family farm. Julie touched the lives of so many people with her kindness, love and generosity.  A celebration of Julie’s life will be held at the farm on her birthday, Sunday, September 5th, 2021.  Details of her celebration of life will be forthcoming at LeiboldFarms.com. To remember Julie, please consider supporting a small local business during these difficult times, or a charity of your choice.  Arrangements entrusted to the England Funeral Home, Mount Forest.

Condolences

My mom and I were very saddened to hear about Julie's passing. She became a familiar face at the Clinique counter at The Bay. She was always smiling, warm, welcoming, and empathetic. I remember she did my makeup for my high school prom close to 10 years ago. High school was such a rough time for me but she always made me feel special and naturally beautiful. Every time we left her counter my mom and I always said how kind and beautiful she was. We both will miss seeing her and chatting with her <3 Thinking of her family and loved ones.

My deepest condolences to you Rob and your family. Julie was my best friend and I will miss her with all my heart. I attached one of my favourite photos of her and have so many that I will share at the memorial. This picture sums up the love she had for her animals and the peace they gave her. Julie was part of the McGillion family from the time we were teens. My deepest memories were at the cottage on the deck with my parents, our trips we took together, all the fun and laughs we had. She is so missed by me, Symonne and Alexandra.

I am so sorry to hear of Julie's passing. I only knew Julie from her big smile and welcoming spirit at the Bay. She always remembered people by name, and I will always remember her for that - It was a lovely touch to the way she treated everyone.

I am so very sorry to hear of the passing of Julie. I so looked forward to seeing her at the Clinique counter. She was so caring and shared her knowledge in such a positive and upbeat manner. Now each morning and evening and during the day when I reach for my Clinique products, I feel a real sense of loss. Julie had a beautiful spirit. Deepest sympathy to all her family and friends.

Only a few weeks ago I strolled through The Bay and bumped into Julie. Even masked up she recognized me and said a big hello. Over the years as a sometime Clinique customer and having the odd make up session with her, we shared many a giggle and she told me about her farm life. I am saddened to hear of her passing. She was a bright and vivacious person who spread joy in all her interactions. I send my condolences to her family and friends.

Like others who have left notes here, I knew Julie only as a Clinique customer at the Bay -- but it is a testimony to her warm, welcoming spirit and her commitment to helping others that so many of us feel compelled to reach out and express sadness over her sudden passing. Clearly, she was a radiant gift to those whose lives she touched. My thoughts go out to all those who knew her so much better than I did, and who will miss her joyous presence so deeply.

I was deeply saddened to read Julie's obituary in the newspaper today! Several decades ago, I met Julie at the Clinique counter at the Bay and was very impressed with her genuine care and expertise. She had the amazing ability to remember the names and details of her clients and we were always greeted warmly with her bright smile. I had a recent visit before the lockdown and just the other week she called me to arrange to have a product that was not available at the time delivered to my door. Her essence was radiant with kindness and love. I will deeply miss her and remember her fondly. My sincere sympathy to all of her family. Carol

I was stunned and saddened to read of Julie’s passing! I was a client of hers for many years at The Bay and was always greeted by her sunny smile and pleasant demeanor. She was extraordinary in that she remembered names and details and cared so much about her clients both in a personal and professional way. I hope that the memories of her presence in her family’s lives over the years will bring comfort in the coming days! Sincerely, Barbara

Oh my....I was so sad to see Julie's obituary in the newspaper today. I had a good Clinique visit with Julie shortly before the last lockdown. I had dealt with Julie for decades and it always surprised me when she knew exactly who I was and what I required. A hearty smile, a genuine persona, a beautiful soul gone too soon. My condolences to friends and family left behind.

Although I didn't know Julie personally, she did wait on me at the Bay several times. The last time I saw her was before Christmas and I complimented her on her great haircut. She offered to give me her hairdresser's name! She always looked so attractive and had a ready smile for any of her customers. She will be missed by many. My deepest sympathy to all her family. We are sorry to hear the passing of Julie. We both grew up in the Ayton area and knew Julie from elementary & high school, church and Junior Farmers. She was always a friendly and genuine person who always wanted to know what was going on in our world and how our families were doing, when we would cross paths at the Bay. May your memories of Julie provide you comfort during this difficult time.

— Lorne & Barbara-Anne Seip, April 20, 2021

I have known Julie since she was a little girl....we grew up down the road from each other...she was at our farm allot...always happy and smiling..that was Julie her whole life..thru her teen age years as a Junior Farmer and into her twenties and so and so on. This brings great sadness to many. She always had a hug and a huge smile...and a different hair colour. You will be missed but never forgotten. My world was a better place with you in it. Rest in Peace.
