I had a chance to catch-up with Bev over the summer by phone but didn't expect him to be gone so soon after Joan. I'm just out of the hospital myself and recuperating so won't be able to make it over for the funeral but my thoughts and those of my family are with all of Bev and Joan's immediate family.

Thinking of you all during this very difficult time. We had a visit with Bev, just a few months ago. Loved our many chats, and stories on the boat. You both will be missed.

Dear Paul, Doug, Carl. Noel, Beverly, Glen and Families: I am very sad to hear that Uncle Bev has passed away. He was a very kind, gentle man who always had a smile. Uncle Bev shared his love of fishing with us at the cottage. We always had a lot of fun when the Abbott's visited Portage Bay. I will be thinking of you on Thursday as l am unable to attend the service. With love and sympathy, Your cousin Margaret (Holland) Balaberda

Paul Really sorry to hear about your dad. So near to losing your mom. I look at the picture of Bev and smile remembering his sharp humour from many years ago. Seems the apple fell close to the tree. Hope the family are doing okay with this sad turn of events. Thinking of you, Lois and Bruce
