Loved father of Jim Thorp & wife Valerie of Newmarket, Susan Thorp & husband Michael Marchand of Calgary, David Thorp & wife Anne of Penticton, B.C., Mike Thorp & wife Hetty of Mount Forest and Pat Thorp & husband Cornelius Eyermans of Courtice. Loving grandfather of Jeremy, Tyler, Nicole, Tammy, Karl and Miranda. Great grandfather of Seth. Dear brother of Joan Smith & husband Bob of Oakville, Bud Thorp & wife Mary of Port Colborne and Phyllis Ireland & husband Joe of Australia. Survived also by his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sisters Ruth, Edna, Alma and Lois. Friends may call at the Hendrick Funeral Home, Mount Forest on Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 & 7:00 to 9:00p.m. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday January 27th at 11:00a.m. Cremation to follow.
