Edmond Taylor died peacefully in the Palliative Care Centre of the Louise Marshall Hospital in Mount Forest on Monday July 8, 2013. Edmond Charles Taylor was in his 92nd year. Born in Ballyedmonduff, Sandyford, County Dublin, Ireland, Edmond came to Canada in 1957, lived until recently in Burlington, Ontario. He was an avid golfer later in life, a tradesman, real estate agent and hardware store owner on the Hamilton Mountain in his earlier years. He will be remembered for his many jokes, riddles and songs. His greatest joy was to make someone smile. He was the beloved husband of the late Edwina (Williams) Taylor. He was the loving father of Ivan Taylor and wife Barb Taylor of Ottawa and Daphne Taylor and husband Truman Phillips of Pike Lake. He was the loving grandfather of Julia Taylor, Laura Taylor and Sarah Taylor. He is survived by his sister Caroline Monteith in Newtownmountkennedy, County Wicklow, Ireland, three sisters-in-law Violet, Pixie and Yvonne Taylor and by his many nephews and nieces in Ireland and England. He is predeceased by six brothers and two sisters. Friends are invited to a celebration of Edmond 's life to be held at the England Funeral Home 294 Main Street South, Mount Forest on Thursday July 11th from 7:00p.m. until time of service at 8:00p.m. A second celebration of Edmond 's life will be held at The Salvation Army Burlington Community Church 2090 Prospect Street, Burlington on Friday July 12th from 1:00p.m. until time of service at 2:00p.m. Interment to follow at Halton Hills Cemetery, Burlington. Memorial donations to the Louise Marshall Hospital Capital Campaign would be appreciated by the family. On line condolences may be made at www.englandfuneralhome.com
