After a long struggle with cancer, Rita passed away at age 81 at Louise Marshall Hospital, Mount Forest, on Tuesday, February 16, 2016. Beloved wife of the late Mervyn Stortz. Dear mother of Mike and Angela Stortz of Mount Forest, Bryan Stortz and Angela Davis of Kitchener, Linda (nee Stortz) and Lorne Treleaven of Mount Forest and Bob and Shirley Stortz of Mount Forest. Grandmother of Jason, Maria, Katie, Ethan, Jarrett, Tony and Jamie. Great Grandmother of Belanna, Cayman and Isaac. Predeceased by her daughter Julia Stortz, her sister Catherine Fitzmaurice and her brother Edward Moore. Friends may call at St. Mary of the Purification Church, 230 Queen Street East, Mount Forest on Saturday February 20th from 9:00a.m. until time of the Funeral Mass at 10:00a.m. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. Memorial donations to Louise Marshall Hospital Foundation or Cancer Patient Services would be appreciated by the family.
