Gerrit J.B. Lebbink

LEBBINK, Gerrit J.B. – Of Palmerston and formerly of Mount Forest, passed away peacefully at Royal Terrace Long Term Care, Palmerston on Saturday, February 20^th, 2021 in his 86^th year.  Beloved husband of the late Gerritjen “Gerrie” Lebbink (née Kapers) (2019).  Loving father of Gord Lebbink and his wife Coral of Palmerston, Michael Lebbink and his wife Sandra of Bluevale, Robert Lebbink of Mount Forest, and Diana Lebbink of Mitchell.  Dear grandfather of Alex, Adam, Allison, Sarah (Paul), Colton and Brianna.  Gerrit will be sadly missed by his family and friends both in Canada and Holland, and by his dear friend Denise Witmer.  He is predeceased by two sons Donald (2007) and Dave (2018).  Gerrit was a proud member of the Iron Workers Union.  Visitation will be held at the England Funeral Home, Mount Forest on Saturday, February 27^th, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. followed by the funeral service at 3:00 p.m.  In order to attend the visitation and/or funeral service, you must contact the funeral home to register by e-mail at info@englandfuneralhome.com or calling (519) 323-2631.  Alternatively, you are welcome to view the funeral service live stream by visiting:  https://www.facebook.com/England-Funeral-Home-1863283503935858.  Please note: as per the directive of the Bereavement Authority of Ontario, attendance numbers will be restricted, masks are mandatory and COVID-19 protocols are in place.  Spring interment in the Mount Forest Cemetery.  Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Gerrit are asked to consider the Alzheimer Society.  The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the staff at Royal Terrace Long Term Care for their incredible care and compassion.  Arrangements entrusted to the England Funeral Home, Mount Forest.
