My sincere sympathy to all of you! Susan was a very kind person and very special to many. How many times did she treat our school staff to her butter tarts and other baking throughout the years? We loved to see her coming! I enjoyed our conversations on our family history. It was only a couple of weeks ago that she brought a couple of her little ones over to the school with her so we could get together during my lunch hour. I was really looking forward to working with Susan on our Currie family history. My thoughts are with you! Take care!

Dear Kevin, Brandy and Cody; There are not any words adequate enough to express the deep sorrow we feel in Susan's passing. I know other people have mentioned her kindness, but that is the first word that comes to mind when we think of her. She was always first to arrive at your door with food during illnesses, surgeries, etc. Her thoughtfullness knew no limits. It didn't matter where you met up with her or how busy she was, she always had time for a chat and that inevitable giggle. We always enjoyed those Saturday mornings when she would drop Cody off at our house to visit Stephen. She always brought a tray full of "Timmy's" and we would have a lengthy visit. Please know that she will be greatly missed and your entire family are in our thoughts and prayers. Mike, Cherie, Sarah and Stephen Noble

— Cherie Noble, May 23, 2008

So sorry to hear about Susan. She was a wonderful, caring person who loved life. She has touched the lives of some many children and this will never be forgotten by these children and their parents as well. She was more than a caregiver, she was a "second" Mom to Maryssa & Natalie and to many others. Susan has created memories for us that we will cherish forever. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

— Dale, Angela, Maryssa & Natalie Eccles, May 23, 2008

Kevin, Brandy, Cody; We are deeply saddened by your loss and know words cannot fill the void created by Susan's passing. We do want you to know how treasured she was. Not many people can claim to be a foundation piece in the lives of so many children. Susan was most definitely that and more. She played a huge role in our boys lives; our lives. The many loving ways she touched us all will remain as memories that we can hold on to. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Kim, Ian, Liam and Jackson Francis

Kevin, Brandy and Cody So sorry to hear about Susan. You will hear over and over how kind and friendly she always was, but in particular we are so grateful to Susan for always looking after Mom when she lived across the road and was all by herself. We received more than one call when Susan was concerned about Mom's wellbeing and it gave us much peace of mind knowing that Susan was there. We never asked her to do it , she just did it and we will always be grateful to her for her kindness. God Bless you in this difficult time

— Gary & Cheryl Williamson, May 23, 2008
