To all of Norbert's family from myself and my girls we are saddened by your lose we will miss him so very much he was like a second dad to me so many good memories from his house and parties and just going there to get eggs or vegetables was a pleasure to see him and his loving wif. He was such a good hard working man and always took care of his family but now we try to live without him and we have to ut him first and know now he has no more pain. Norbert would always something for my girls like strawberries or a choclate bar out of the big freezer he was always very good to us and that will be sadly missed. Never ever forgoten. Margette if youever need anything please feel free to ask me ok.

Growing up south of Mount Forest we used to slaughter cattle at Norbert's slaughter house, he would bring his old truck out to the farm and he and my dad Bill White would load up the bull or what ever that was to go to the slaughter house. At the time we didn't have a shoot for the calf and he and my dad would lift the calf up to the truck, which was not an easy thing to do when the calf was about 1,000 pounds, Norbert as I remember was a warm and a wonderful man. Always helpful and with a smile, much like the picture you see him with here. As I read your story about him growing up and the years and the hardships that he went threw I had no idea that he was a man of great accomplishments. I really feel fortunate to have known Norbert. And to have fought in a war, he is also a hero. I believe that you should publish your story in the MACLEAN'S magazine he truly has made a lasting impression on many lives in the Mount Forest area, and a real contribution to society. Thanks again for a great story about your father, a good man.
