Rude, Darlene'Pat'; at University Hospital, London on Wednesday June 4, 2008. Darlene'Pat' Ellen (Shantz) Rude of Mount Forest in her 70th year. Beloved wife of Norman Rude of forty eight years. Loved mother of Deby Williams & husband Bob of Mount Forest and Susan Rude of Mount Forest. Loving grandmother of Chris Williams, Cheri Oldham & husband Ryan, Nickolai Ruttan-Rude and David Ruttan-Rude all of Mount Forest. Sister-in-law of Annette Shantz of Kitchener and also survived by her nieces, nephews and extended family. Predeceased by her parents Roma (Schaefer) Shantz and Harry Shantz and brother Bryan Shantz. Friends may call at the Hendrick Funeral Home, Mount Forest on Saturday June 7th from 1:00p.m. until time of the funeral service at 3:00p.m. Cremation to follow. Debbie I was so sorry hear about your Mother's passing this week. Janice called me from BC to let me know. I'm so glad she did. I can still see and hear your Mom & Dad behind the counter at the Doon General Store years ago and what I remember most is your Mother's laughter and how much your Mom loved and cared about you. Whenever she mentioned your name I could always hear it in her voice. I wish I could be at the funeral today to support you but Sam and I have a wedding to attend today. I want you to know I will be thinking about you today and will keep you and Bob and your family in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult and sad time. I will give you a call in the next couple of weeks and see if we can find a time that would work for both of us to have me come to Mount Forest for a visit.
