Condolences

We are so sorry to hear of Ian's passing- he was a great friend of my Dad's- Wayne Eckenswiller. We loved to hear Ian's stories....he was an entertaining story teller. My Dad remembers Ian's laugh brightened his day many times, Ian and Maddy visited quite often. This is such a nice picture of Ian and it is so nice he had a little great-grandson named after him. My children remember Ian also, we had some projects at the farm that Ian supervised. Our family sends our sympathy. Kathy Eckenswiller, Wayne Eckenswiller and families.

I want to share my condolences to the family. Ian became a friend of mine through a mutual friend of both of us Stan Groff. I used to stop in during the winter to fill his wood box and put wood on the fire. He had the furnace and a wood stove. I remember one night the pipes on the furnace got extremely hot and it was by the grace of God that the house didn’t burn down. Ian also attended the same church my family attended before Maddie passed away and after. Thanks Crystal for taking such good care of Ian in his final years. Love and God bless. Les Martin

I was sad to hear Ian had passed, he was our neighbour, and a friend . My Husband Angelo and Ian spent many happy hours building 3 restaurants, and helped my son daughter and Scott, on various projects at Scotts. He and Maddy often went for lunch. .i also spent time with Maddy and Ian at their home. He grew the best vegetables and often dropped a suprise box at our door. His knowledge of wood was amazing......he should have written a book to pass on......... I hope he will be remembered as the great man, Regards the Tsotros family, Mount Forest
