Marion, Don and Kathy (and families).....we first met Bev on moving to Mt Forest 32 years ago and from there we were introduced to all of you. We have fond memories of Bev, and our deepest sympathies to all of you. Bev was extremely proud of this area of the world, and he worked tirelessly to make it better for all of us. Personally I got to work closely with Bev on the construction of the Sports Complex. Bev poured a lot of energy into that project. Because of Bev and his attention to detail, the Sports Complex was completed ON budget.......what a GREAT facility, in which a room (quite rightly) bears his name. Bev served his community well, no matter what his role, and for that he will be missed.

— Rick & Patty Sinnamon, June 24, 2021

Bev was a community minded man. He devoted many years to the Normanby Recreation Committee.

To all the Plume's as you mourn the passing of a good good man. Uncle Bev was such a supporting part of my career. From the early years, leaning over my shoulder at the drafting board at Bye's instructing the correct penciled pattern to emulate the block for Wellington Wood to later at Peach's office directing the design and details of such facilities as Long Manufacturing and so many other great projects. He tot me the importance of good design, integrity in client relations and hard work. He directed quietly often with gesture, a nod a facial expression. He never said an unkind word of anyone. He later gave good guidance as Danny entered the manufacturing world. He earned our deepest respect. He took interest in our kids encouraging their endeavors as he did with all the Plume next generation. He will live within us forever.

Dear Marion, Don, Kathy, Marie, Bill, Deedee and your families,
It is with a very heavy heart that I am writing to you. I am very sorry for your loss -- our loss. Uncle Bev will be dearly missed by his family and his community. I have spent the last few days thinking of Bev and the impact he has had on so many. My fondest memories are of: picking stones, the pigs and spreading manure, the pond and how it brought us together, calling up the cows, H Bye Construction and the cement crew. Bev always had time to catch up and often our visits were from the window of his truck.

I am sorry that Covid undoubtedly made the past months very difficult for you but there is a silver lining. Bev's service was beautiful, especially so because it was at the farm. The procession to the cemetery was remarkable and I am grateful that Ray, the boys and I could be a part of it, albeit virtually.

You are in our hearts and we share in your sadness,

Crystal, Ray, Luke, Marc and Jake Angers (Ottawa, ON)

Our sincere condolences to the entire Plume family.
Bev knew how to get things done both on time and on budget.
He knew how to converse over a drink or two after work. He was a huge asset to his community, his church and his neighbourhood.
For 45 years Bev worked with us at H. Bye Construction, and it is well recognized that this company would not be where it is today without the huge part Bev played in growing it.
Bev farmed, was very active in minor hockey, Letterbreen Church, played cards and seldom missed a community function, all the while running a large crew of men and sub trades at H. Bye.

Rest In Peace Bev, and know your jacket will hang in our office as long as that office exists.
