McINTEE, Mary I. - Passed away peacefully with her family by her side on June 16th, 2023. She is survived by her husband Robert “Bob” McIntee. Loving mother to daughters Cynthia Coulis (Brian), and Stacia Khales (Payman). Predeceased by her infant son, Paul (1970). Mary was the first born to Hilda and Wilfred Brick (predeceased) in Cargill Ontario in 1946. Mary is survived by sisters Shirley (Jack), and Susanne, brothers Jim (Sharrie) and Jeff (Heather), and sister-in-law Lenore. Predeceased by Joseph, John and Derrick Brick, and Paul Zipple. Mary was a devoted wife to Robert McIntee for 57 years.
She was active in the St. Mary’s parish, and the community of Mount Forest for many years. She loved and she cared for many neighbors and friends, and was loved by them all. Mary was an active member of the CWL, Kinettes, Big Sister’s and an ostomy support group. She loved to travel, and she cherished her family time the most. Her pride and joy was making memories with her grandchildren. Known as “Nana” to Wade, Ivy, Eddie and Mia. She will forever be remembered for her generosity of time and attention. We cherish the many photos Nana captured of these special moments.

— Verne and Pauline Mills, June 18, 2023We send our deepest sympathies to you Bob and girls. We will never forget how nervous Mary was to rent a house to us. Mary did not want the elderly lady in the other half of the duplex to be bothered. Mary found out it was my Grammaw and all was well. Funny the story that comes to mind. Mary was a very good kind woman and will be sadly missed.

— Mina and Ali Khales, June 17, 2023My sincerest condolences. She was a beautiful soul.
I will always remember 2 1/2 yrs ago ,being new to town and losing my wife upon arriving here, how Mary (and Bob) showed up at my door with some food for me. We had not met before this and I was astonished and asked, ‘why would you do this, you don’t even know me?. She said, we were all new once and it’s the neighbourly thing to do. Since that time I’ve come to know her (and Bob) much better. She has had me over for supper a few times and she would always remember those special dates where I may be missing my wife and always send a card.
She was a beautiful soul. How fitting that the Lord would take her on the solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and may she rest there for eternity
Our deepest sympathy goes out to you Bob and Family. She was a great lady.
Thoughts are with you at this time.

Oh Bob. We were saddened to hear of Mary's passing. Our deepest sympathy to you, Cyndy, Stacia and families. Mary was our welcome wagon when we first moved to Mount Forest in 1982 and took us under her wing by becoming a wonderful friend and introducing us to the community. She was always ready with a listening ear and kind words of encouragement. Your family even took our children in whenever we were away on Kinette business. Such a lovely gentle lady with a heart of gold and I know she will be greatly missed by her family, friends and community. We are blessed to call her a friend. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time.
